Man charged with attempted murder in Newton Heath


A man has been charged with attempted murder after shots were fired in Newton Heath.

Sammuel Aguda (28/06/1998) of Scotland Hall Road, Newton Heath, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court this afternoon (Monday 16 April 2018).

At around 5.15pm on Friday 13 April 2018, police were called to reports of shots fired near to Scotland Hall Road.

A 19-year-old man suffered a number of gunshot wounds. He remains in hospital for treatment.
