Three charged after armed robbery in Leigh

Three men have been charged following an armed robbery at a sporting lodge in Leigh.  

Jordan West (30/12/1992) of Bolton Road, Atherton and Richard Johnson (13/07/1987) of Anaconda Drive, Salford have both been charged with burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, attempted theft from a motor vehicle and robbery.  

Dean Hampson (04/09/1978) of Parkway Grove, Little Hulton has been charged with robbery.  

They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Wigan Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 9 February 2018.  

These charges relate to an incident which took place shortly before 9.50am on Thursday 8 February 2018 on Warrington Road, when three armed men robbed a sporting lodge and fled in a stolen car.
