Marie Scott

Officers searching for a missing woman from Altrincham have released the latest CCTV images of her last known whereabouts.

Marie Scott, 57, was last seen at around 12pm on Monday 18 December 2017 on Sandileigh Avenue, Hale.

She is described as 5ft 4ins tall with mid-length blonde hair.

The CCTV images show Marie in the Castlefield area near to The Wharf public house at around 1.20pm on Monday 18 December 2017.

Marie walked across the footbridge in front of The Wharf before having a conversation with a member of the public for around 20 seconds – she appeared to ask for directions.

She then walked off in the direction of Castlefield Bowl.

Detective Sergeant Sohail Ahmed of GMP’s Trafford borough, said: “We now know that Marie boarded the 12.30pm Bury tram from Altrincham before getting off in the city centre on Monday 18 December.”

“Further enquiries have shown her in the Castlefield area and I am appealing directly to the member of the public who spoke to Marie and probably didn’t realise that she was missing.

“I am also appealing to anyone who may have seen her in the area to get in touch with us. Even if it seems like an insignificant piece of information, it may prove vital in finding Marie and reuniting her with her family.”

Anyone with information about Marie’s whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 quoting MP/17/0111851. Reports can also be made anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
