Second man arrested after fatal attack in Abram

A second man has been arrested after a fatal attack in Abram.

A 22-year-old man was arrested yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 8 January 2019) on suspicion of murder.

He remains in custody for questioning.

This is in relation to an assault that took place on Bickershaw Lane on Friday 28 December 2018. 21-year-old Billy Livesley, from Platt Bridge, suffered serious injuries as a result of the assault and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

He sadly died the following evening and a Home Office Post Mortem confirmed that the cause of death was a significant head injury.
