Bolton man charged with driving and assault offences

A man has been charged after two officers were assaulted in Chorlton. 

Kevin Brown (09/09/1972), of Fern Road, Bolton has been charged with the following offences: 

Section 18 assault 
Dangerous driving 
Section 39 assault 
Driving without a licence 
Driving with no insurance 

He has been remanded to appear at Manchester City Magistrates' Court today, Saturday 24 February 2018. 

At around 10.30am on Thursday 22 February 2018, police were following a vehicle that failed to stop for officers on Hardcastle Avenue in Chorlton.  

Once it came to a stop on Shackley Close, two officers were assaulted.
