Police appeal after large fight in Bolton


A man was left in hospital with serious injuries after a fight in Bolton.

At around 3.35am on Sunday 28 January 2018, police were called to reports of a large fight outside Shots Bar & Grill on Bradshawgate.

The fight broke out between two groups of people as they left the bar after a night out.

Officers attended and on arrival the group ran off and police found a man in his 20s who was unconscious on the ground.

He was taken to hospital where he was treated for a bleed on the brain and broken bones.

Officers have released a picture of a man they want to speak to in connection with this incident.

Detective Constable Dominic Beaver, of GMP’s Bolton borough, said: “A man was left in hospital with serious injuries after being punched and kicked on the street, but thankfully he is now recovering at home.

“We have followed several lines of enquiry since this incident including trawling through lots of CCTV footage and we have now released a picture of a man we want to speak to to assist with our enquiries.

“I would appeal directly to the man in the picture, if this is you, please come forward and speak to us.

“I would also urge anyone with any information involving this incident to please get in touch.”
