60 Second Security Greater Manchester Police have produced a series of ‘60 Second Security’ videos on simple security advice. They provide easy step-by-step tips, including advice on products and how to install and use them, helping to make you and your property that little bit safer.

The videos include Bogus Callers, Door Chimes, Shed Security, Personal Attack Alarms, Light Timers, Window Shocks, Property Marking and Purse Bells and more...

The films have received thousands of hits on Youtube and are being utilised across the UK by numerous Police Forces, NHS, Housing Suppliers, Security Companies, Neighbourhood and Home Watch and the Voluntary Sector to name but a few.

Courier Fraud 

Courier fraud is where someone phones you and tries to get your card details & pin number claiming to be from the police or your bank, investigating a crime. They may ask you to hang up and ring your bank, but the criminal doesn’t hang up! This effectively blocks the line making you think you’re speaking to your bank! They then send someone to your address to collect your card, which can then be used to take money from your account....
 

Bogus Callers

Bogus Callers come in different guises, usually they want to try and trick you, to get into your home to steal. They may say they are from the water board, council, police or even a child wanting a ball back! If you’re not sure don’t open the door, watch this for more advice....

A thief would much rather come and go unnoticed and these types of sneak in burglaries account for around a third of all burglaries.
